Target Store Guide

Target Store Guide

Target Corporate Coupon Policy
Go here to access the Target Corporate Coupon Policy. Target has a ton of rules and guidelines involving coupons so it is in your best interest to learn them before heading into the store to coupon. Also, I strongly recommend you print out their coupon policy and bring it with you when you shop just in case you run into any issues with the cashier/manager.

Target Price Matching Policy
Go here to access the Target Price Matching Policy. Just like the coupon policy, I would strongly recommend you print out the Target Price Matching Policy and bring it with you when you shop at Target. Keep in mind that the manager will have the last word on what can and can't be price matched.

Target Coupons
There are several ways you can save money at Target.

  • Target printable coupons: You can access Target coupons by going here and printing them out. These coupons have a limit of 1 use per customer.
  • Target insert coupons: You can occasionally score Target coupons in the Sunday newspaper insert in addition to manufacturer's coupons. These coupons are typically regional and you can usually use multiple of them.
  • Target mobile coupons: You can also get Target coupons via text message with  an Android/ Iphone. To sign up for Target mobile coupons text COUPONS to 827438. You will then receive a link to sign up in a text message. Once you sign up, you will receive mobile coupons every week or so. To receive Target mobile baby coupons, text  BABY to 827438. When you get Target mobile coupons, you will have a unique bar code that the cashier will scan on your phone. Any coupons that apply to the items that you buy will be deducted from your total.
  • Target Weekly ad coupons: You can find some Target coupons in the weekly ads. These coupons are typically threshold coupons. For example, " $20 off a baby purchase of $100 or more". You can have the cashier scan these coupons before any manufacturer coupons to save the most amount of money.
  • Target Cartwheel Offers: The Target Cartwheel Savings Offers are another way to save at Target. Go here to sign up. You can sign up by email or Facebook account. Basically, the Target Cartwheel will list several offers that you can use on certain products. These offers are represented by percentages off. Below is an example of what it looks like:

Ways to Save at Target

  • Stacking manufacturer coupons, Target coupon & Cartwheel Offers
  • Price cuts: There are two types of price cuts; the most common price cut you'll see at Target is a temporary price cut. These price cuts typically last about 2 weeks. The second type of price cut is a permanent price cut. This means that the price of the item has dropped and it will remain that way.
  • Clearance: Target offers clearance on all different types of products. End caps are the most common way to find clearance items. However, you can find clearance items all over the store and in different departments.
  • Sales: These are typical sales where the price of an item has dropped temporarily until the next week.
  • Gift Card Promotions: Every week you can find gift card promotions on different items found inside Target. Gift card promotions require you to buy an item or multiple items in order to receive a Target gift card back at checkout. For example, a gift card promotion might be that you must buy 4 Uniliver products to receive a $5 Target gift card. When you buy those 4 Unilever products that qualify for the gift card, the cashier will automatically be prompted by the register to scan and hand you a free $5 Target gift card. Keep in mind that some gift card promotions tend to vary by region.
How to Shop at Target
  • Target allows one manufacturer coupon, one Target coupon and one Cartwheel Offer to be combined per item purchased.
  • Target + manufacturer coupons can be combined on price matched items. It is up to the manager's discretion wether you can use a Cartwheel Offer on an item that you are price matching. (Most stores won't allow you to use it but some do)
  • You may use Target + manufacturer coupons in conjuction with sales, price cuts, clearance and gift card promotions. You can usually use a Cartwheel Offer as well, as long as it doesn't exclude it.
  • Don't always think you have to buy a certain amount of items on a sale; when you see a sale like, 2 for $4, you only have to buy 1 of those items to get the sale price.
  • When it comes to gift card promotions, you DO have to buy the amount of items specified to receive a gift card.
  • You cannot use the gift card in the same transaction that you earned it in but you can seperate your transactions and roll the gift card on the second transaction.  Or, you can save it for the next time you plan on shopping at Target.
  • There is an order in which you have to redeem your coupons: (1)Hand over any Target coupons (printable and/or mobile) (2)Hand over Cartwheel Savings Offers (3) Hand over any manufacturer coupons.
